“We dined at the Icon last night, a holiday event we’ve shared for the past few years with two other families. We’re not an easy group: eleven of us, including four children under nine. We asked for three separate checks. My friend kept asking the waiter to check for onions and garlic in the food. My son dumped half a bottle of milk into my lap. But through it all, our waiter Ryan was wonderful. He gave us everything we needed, calmly, efficiently, and with good humor.
